![]() EQ is the best. I love it. I want to play. When I first found this server I played the living shit out of it. But I got a new job in September and I have played about an hour total since then.
My question is how do you balance real life and EQ? I work 8-5 but I like to exercise after work or else I would be about 300 lbs by now. And on the weekends I like to have a social life and spend time with my gf. tl;dr how do you people successfully balance real life and p1999?

![]() dont know how it will help you, but I play for about 2 hours nightly after the wife and daughter goes to bed...basically I give up some sleep or TV time for it.

![]() A real popular way to balance EQ and real life is to solo. That kind of defeats the point of the game, though. Basically, only play EQ if you have a couple hours to spare; and it's all the better if you can round up some e-friends or real friends to group together at a set time so you don't waste time LFG.

![]() I don't know if I can give up sleep, it's just too valuable.
And soloing, yeah, defeats the point of the game. Maybe I'll just keep my char right in an area where I can instantly jump in a group if one is open when I log in. Try to find an hour here or there...

![]() Everything is about balance so you got the right Idea there. I seem to find a decent amount of time to play and my schedule goes something like this:
Wake up 05:00 Work at 06:00-16:30 (10.5 hours shifts) Home at 17:00 make dinner and eat Gym 18:00-19:00 I play EQ between gym and bed Sleep at 22:00/23:00 I don’t play EQ every night though but I get it in where I can. When I do play I usually play on my laptop on the couch so I can still interact with my girl. I don't ignore anything she says and I go as far as to keep one ear out on the TV show she is watching so when she comments on it I can respond. This keeps her from getting pissed that I'm playing. On my days off we usually do something like snowboarding or dinner/movie but most things only take a half day so for the other half I play EQ. Also some nights we party and then I play EQ hung-over most of the next day. If, on my days off, I am playing EQ and one of my friends or girlfriend suggest something to do in real life then I log right away and enjoy their company. EQ comes last on the hierarchy but there is time for it.

![]() Well balanced individuals don't have the time it takes to be any good at this game, anybody who tells you otherwise is lying.
Edit: Great 200th post imo.

![]() If you want to group but don't have much time, play a class that isn't required to keep the group going so you can leave easily. Wiz/mage/nec for example.
