Default Map Program

Is a 3rd party map program like Zliz'z EQ map against the rules? It doesn't update as you play or inject into the game or anything, just reads the log to see which zone you're in, and displays a map of that zone, along with a dot at the last location displayed with /l in the log. I'm not sure if this would violate any rules or not, I haven't seen a rule that it violates since all it does it read the log, but I don't want to use it and end up banned so I thought I'd ask first. If this isn't the right place to post this then please move it to the correct location.

If all it does is read the txt log file then no, it's not against the rules.
'Log Parsing' is classic, despite it not having been wide spread at the time.

Not illegal, but definitely discouraged by the staff, which is pretty understandable. Meaning you won't get in trouble, but Sirken might call you a casual peasant.
