Default A New Classic Server

I had read that at some point that P99 would look into starting a new classic server that would go through Kunark and then Velious. Then once it got to were the current server is they would just merge the two servers.

I really love the idea of this, because I didn't get to start playing P99 from the start.

So I was wondering if and when this may take place?

I would love to do something like this while waiting on Pantheon.

Does anyone have any info or insight about this?

Hey if P99 wanted to they could even do something like for everyone that donates say at least $50 toward Pantheon can play on the new classic server, just an idea that could be done.

Is it a rumor or can it be confirmed that Daybreak gave permission to let P99 continue but only if they agreed 100% to never produce a new server or "Wipe" and restart their server because of the money cow progression servers have turned out to be.

Sounds like a rumor to me

Agnarr is literally days away... may 24 and it's the closest combination of clean and classic that you may ever see ever.

I did some searching but I haven't seen anything about P99 starting a new classic server.

As for that new server Daybreak is starting up, well I don't like the book porting thing. I feel it makes the world feel smaller, I really liked EQ more before the moon and book porting.

This is also why I like the idea of pantheon, because they claim to understand what the book porting did to the game, a long with some of the other expansions.

Anyway I was hoping that P99 was or would be coming out with a new classic server.

If you're playing for nostalgia you'll soon be back here. The list of "not classic" is lengthy.

Did you know it only took a day on one of the TLPs (maybe all of them) for a bunch of neckbeards to get leveled and take down Nagafen?

Sorry to shatter any illusions of there being a slow leveling process, classic models, classic zones, classicXP rates etc

Also give a wave to soulbinders, XP pots, cash shop for items, boxing, no GM assistance (training is allowed, DPS race on mobs over FTE, Luclin models, unclassic pet strength, hunting in Sebilis in the mid 40s (players are innately stronger than they should be), the list continues....

Have fun though, you know where P99 is when you're done. Personally I'd sooner pay for a subscription here [You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.]

You cant "box" from the same PC, so naturally people are pulling old laptops etc out. DeyBreak are keen to make money so they know people will want to 2-3 box and will pay for the privilege twice/thrice over.
