![]() Hello everybody,
first of all - i am sorry for my bad english but i will do my best to ask my question. My Question Why do you play Everquest? Its a really simple question but Everquest has been released in 1999 and was one of the first online RPG games, which was really succesfull. Now its August of 2017 and so many wonderful and great games has been released (Wichter, Rocket League, Call of Duty, World of Warcraft, Guild Wars, Diablo 3, etc.). Furthermore there are so many other RPG games like Rift, Wow, Everquest 2, Tera, etc. But Whats your reason to play everquest still in 2017? My point of view i was 11 years old when everquest has been released in 1999. I played from 1999 - 2004 and had a great time. Now in 2017 i also like it to play. Why? Everquest has a special atmosphere. For me its a kind of beeing home in a game. i have spendet sooo much time (from 1999-2004) to play in zones like Highpass hold, unrest, Karanas, Befallen, Crushbone, highkeep, Mistmoore, Najena, crystal caverens, etc. With these places i connect soo much memories and a great time, also some real life friends played with me. I think its a kind of love now for this game. in Addition this game is not as easy as other online RPG games. if you die, you lost a lot of exp. secondly you have to get your corpse back and sometimes its not soo easy, depends where you have been died. Everquest is a still a challange. So thats my reason why i still like that game. What is YOUR Reason for everquest? Thank you for your attention best regards, Elran

![]() No other game grants the feeling of accomplishment for doing literally anything due to the brutal difficulty. Every time I barely escape death, do a quest turn-in, or run across a zone full of nasties without agroing anything - my heart is pounding.
Then there are the times you DO screw up... And think of the hours of work you lost. The game was designed for people to work together to accomplish greater goals (or have an easier time at them) than if you were solo. It encourages communication, and the layout of the zones/zonelines ensures that (at least most) low level zones are still frequented by higher level players thereby giving them the ability to request assistance. I played WoW for one weekend back in like 2005 and made lvl 40. Never went back. My first week in EQ I was still dying to wolves every time I stepped out of WFP... -Mcoy

![]() because it a world. it slow and unchanging and my time there is peaceful and make me happy. there more and more people who treat it liek newer games, "content" to be beat. for me, it a place. a place to do things. a place to meet people. a place to create. a place to be free and at ease.
