The only use of skillpoints later on, is to train tradeskills or maybe languages if you are into that. So no, it's not really of any consequence.

Yeah it shouldn't matter, I used 1 skill point on Sense Heading, then a single point to 'learn' or train every other skill as I leveled up. At 60 my disarm, safe fall, and swimming weren't maxed. I got disarm up since then, then just run around jumping off shit and have safe fall up to 130 or something but don't care.

If you're a twink see what you can do to keep bind wound up because once it's at 201 you can bind wound to 70% instead of 50. Other than that use your points for whatever but nothing is too difficult to get up on your own.

As long as you have one skill point to put into all your skills as you unlock them there aren’t any consequences to using your skill points as randomly as you see fit

For my monks, I spent all the points on Mend until like 20 when it started being reliable and skilling up fast enough on its own and then the rest into Bind Wound. Everything else is easy enough to grind a half hour here or there when you need to. I just think Mend and Bind Wound are the most tedious to try to skill up naturally.
