Default Choppy graphics even with new GPU

I am getting fairly bad chop in the graphics when moving through the EQ world. In some places it gets worse like the EC tunnel so I figure it's a problem rendering or something.

I just installed a brand new Geforce GTX 1060 and the drivers are the most recent. I have 16g of DDR3 ram so I thought that should be enough.

I know there probably could be many things causing this but I am hoping someone could help me figure out where to start looking.

And help is greatly appreciated. This shouldn't be happening with the gear I have. Thanks!

Move your character log files to a different folder to generate fresh ones, they're probably getting too big or maybe became corrupted in some way.

A different folder within the EQMU folder or completely outside of it?
Thanks!

Either is fine, can even just make a subfolder in your logs folder called Old Logs or w/e

I would try Set Affinity to a specific core, and make sure you are not overclocking GPU.

I cannot find my character folders/files anywhere on my computer. Where are they supposed to be?

Really not sure how to do that. Is it difficult?

if you installed it into the program files folder, they are likely in your user files in a seperate location from the game files.

EQEmu is installed to the Program Files (x86) but even if I do a file search for the name of my characters, nothing is found. Weird.
