Default Epic Mob Questions

I've been told that epic quests won't be released until Kunark is available for about 4 months.

1. If this is the case, are mobs that drop epic-specific items going to spawn within that 4 month period? (For example, The Tangrin.)

2. Are mobs that currently exist in classic that begin dropping epic-specific items with the release of Kunark going to be dropping their epic-specific items before epic quests are released? (For example, will Phinigel Autropos start dropping his backbone with the release of Kunark, or is it going to start dropping once the 4 months are up and epic quests are unlocked?)

There already are mobs that drop epic quest items for certain classes. Examples include nearly every single item needed for the rogue epic and all the Elemental staffs for mages.

For items that are ONLY used for the quests and not, say a kedge robe, the best way to answer your question is to go to the test server and kill some of these mobs yourself. See if the loot tables are currently populated with epic items or not.

If I had to guess I would say that the devs would decide NOT to do this because it would lead to certain classes finishing their epics on day one of their release which could not be more unclassic. It's bad enough that there is zero mystery to these quests and that many people already have every classic item they could get for their epics.

If you are not sufficient level to kill any of these epic quest mobs on the test server than you probably don't need to worry about it for a while... But that being said you could ask nicely for somebody on test to kill the mob for you.

Quite honestly, people don't have incentive or free time to lay this out for you. Unless you make your question more specific, you're asking someone to provide a comprehensive list of mobs which are and are not available which pertain to your class' epic quest. Next, you're asking them to provide a comprehensive list to show you whether they drop the item pertaining to the epic quest, and if not - when.

You're basically asking someone to do all your research for you.

Here's a suggestion, if you haven't already - for the class for which you wish to earn the epic quest item, make a list of "to do," and go through them, step by step, on your own, and figure out if they will be available at kunark launch (test server) or if they are already available. If you get stuck on one - then ask about that mob specifically. Someone might have info they're willing to share.
