Default A Druid in Cabilis

So way back when, I had a druid. I spent a ridiculous amount of time getting him non-kos in Cabilis. I couldn't go everywhere but I could carefully walk thru the city. I think I was even able to use a couple of vendors although I am not sure which.

I don't remember exactly how I did it. I think I gave bone chips to someone for a while and then I did some quests. Maybe used wolf form? I know it took a really long time and it is probably not worth it other than saying I did it.

Anyone remember how to do that? I think I would like to do it here on p99. Has anyone else done it? Do you remember how long it took you? If I do remember right, it literally took me (real world) months.

I'm not sure if wolf form will bring you to dubious (required faction for the turn in quest, according to the wiki) with the guards. It's easier if you're an assling druid, since you can Harmony the pack and use sneak to turn in bone chips.

Lots of killing in sebilis can get you there, too, but it takes a looot of dead frogs.

You can massacre sarnaks in LOIO fortress to (quite easily) achieve non kos faction with the Legion of Cabilis, the scaleboy Warrior Guild. These guys make up a lot of the guards.

However, this won't make you friendly with the Necro/SK guild and they constitute a large portion of cabilis and have some patrolling guards on their faction.

Based on your description, i believe this is probably what you are talking about.

Yo! I've seen a Troll doing this bone chip quest for faction in Cabilis. One tip I have for you that is on the same idea as Skarlorn's above:

There is a wandering SK Guard (with his small/red pet) that will still be KoS to you even after you're dubious with the turn-in guard. He paths *right by* the turn-in guard.

Thus, make sure to keep your eyes peeled and only do the turn-in when this pathing SK guard is not around. Please don't die like that poor troll and make sure you're bound somewhere on Kunark just in case (again, unlike the poor troll)

One final thing is that I think wolf form might actually hurt/lower the faction rather than help-- I remember during my first week of p99 thinking I was pretty cool for scoring a wolf-form in the pit on my Iksar. I then tried to run into Cabilis as a wolf and got promptly murdered by the guards at the gate

Thanks. I think it was probably a combination of these. Now I just need to level a bit to get my baby druid over there.

If you are farming a gobby ring in LOIO, you will get the warrior guild faction, but yeah, you need to have your head on a swivel for those SKs! Surprise HTs are their specialty.

You can also kill Iksar Pariah's/outcasts in Warslik's or Swamp of No Hope in order to raise warrior (Legion of Cabilis) and Necro (Brood of Kotiz) guild faction.

I think the only way to raise Shaman (Scaled Mystics) and SK (Greenmist) guild factions is through quests (like said bone chip quest, which raises every faction but Necro)

Ah. I also remember camping the outcasts now. That was kind of fun. There are some damaged houses near a cliff that I camped for days on end.

I put my notes on doing this on my cleric in the above thread.

I am ally to most of cab (all but sk/necro guild and the non trooper guards) simply by living in Sebilis from 54-59. The mobs give + cab faction.
