Used to play live back in 2000, now im back!

Hello everyone, I played EQ back then as you can see, I am returning because I just truly missed the community and playstyle that EQ has to offer.

I am stuck on class choice, my main was Beastlord and that class is not available. I want to play a class that is rare endgame and great for group and solo play. Advice please?

Paladins are probably most rare endgame, with the secondary heals and arsenal against undead i'm sure there are some solo opportunities here and there but really shine in leveling groups as tanks.

Good bards are always welcome in groups. On raids they have great resist songs. They look badass, are cheap to entry gear, and can solo when feeling like loners.

+1 for bards. BUT: The class is *very* active and may not be your thing. If you want a more relaxed game style i would suggest necro or maybe cleric, depending on if you want to solo more or group more.
