Default Bard swarm kiting after leashing patch

Ive been gone for a few years and now I've noticed that mobs are leashing and not following me to the kite spot. Is this true for all zones now? I've only tried a few Kunark zones.

Yes, all zones.

You got too far away from the mobs. Try staying a bit closer as you bring them across zone.

It was at this point I decided to no longer be kind to the casuals as they have extreme short term memory. They did this to themselves, unfortunately.

Best just to swarm with your epic while gathering mobs. You will almost never leash the mobs this way unless you are running straight for 30 seconds.

AoE only hit 25 mobs at a time now. Just keep swarming into new mobs with a mid size train for a few hours instead of doing fixed kites of 100.

I laughed for real at that.

AE kiting is brutal with mob bash now. At lower levels if you were lucky enough to survive a round of melee, you will be chain stunned with bash. It's tough!

It seems like the Chardok patch changed the bash mechanic. Lower level mobs are beasts now.

IF you had 25 in your ae kite to start with you would already be bashed regardless of patch changes

That's probably true with bigger kites, but learning to kite on a handful of greens and blues when a mob bashes its almost always a stun. I'm low to mid teens. Maybe it's always been this way. I just never got stunned as much from behind on my other characters even when pulling a multiple mobs.
