Questions about the Rod of Insidious Glamour quest

I'm working on getting a Rod for my noob enchanter.

The wiki says you can MQ the A Shining Stone with Cynthia in Rathe Mountains, so that is fine.

1. Does anyone know if a non-enchanter can hand in the second (Tarn Visilin in High Keep) and third steps (Sultin in the Temple of Ro) of the quest?

2. The noob obviously isn't killing the Shadowed Men and can't group for the kills. Does anyone know about how many Shadowed Men have to be killed to be amiable to Tarn Visilin?

Considering there is an auction history for the rod, I'm guessing it is MQable.

And cant you just wait for level 20 to get benevolence for the turn in? the extra cha not going to make a big deal at low level ench plat.

Theres no class check on the quest steps, only the faction check. I've done the entire quest on my druid and ran into no issues

I'm not sure how many shadowmen it would take to get to amiable though, I used to kill them all the time for shadowed rapiers and was already amiable when I started

You get 10 faction per shadowman and I think you only need +200 to make it to amiable. So 20 shadowed men.

My Wiz worships sol ro and started amiable. I do the quest for plat sometimes. Dunno about MQ.

If you give 50 gold to Ostorm in temple of sol ro, you will gain faction with temple of sol ro. You can do this as many times as you need; you only need amiably for the quest. Turning in gold is what I did since killing shadowed men was taking too long.

I did the whole quest on my cleric and then ground transferred the rod to my chanter. I've killed a handful of shadowmen so my faction was already decent.

Give the named shadowman the flower from Mistmoore graveyard for Sol Ro faction for free.

The flower is literally next to the npc you hand it in to, invis will be needed tho lots of mobs around if uncamped.

I remember soloing it at 29. The highest level mob conned even at this level (froglok) which was the only real barrier.
