Default Damage Shield Buff Duration?

So what is the classic DS Buff duration? I know it's CONSIDERABLY longer than the 3 minutes currently on Blue, but does anyone know the actual Classic-era Duration?

I'm tryin to do some damage:mana calculations. With the absence caster twink gear for mana and especially melee twink gear for dps, I think damage shields are going to offer groups a very high level of efficiency that most would likely underestimate!

When you make a statement like that, you're basically assuming that your memory is better than all research any volunteer has ever done on this topic. And a LOT of volunteer research has gone into making the spells here work properly for a classic environment.

If you're correct, it should be easy enough to find proof on the Wayback machine ... but if I had to bet, I'd bet on Nilbog and the P99 researchers over any individual player's memory on something basic like this.

Damage shields don't all have the same duration.

and that's why when I make a new character on blue, I seek out a ranger with call of earth, the sexiest lowbie DS you can beg for. Really one of my favorite buffs in the entire game, to be honest.

Lol what? Even on P99 Damage Shields had a much much longer duration (in the realm of 10+ minutes)

Something change with the patch today? Damage shield spells being cast on me just last night were lasting in the 6-7 minute range, certainly longer than ~3.

Ahhhh: OP didn't make it clear that he was complaining about a recent change from the patch (it sounded like "why isn't this P99 thing working the way I'm used to on live?" confusion).

If that is the case, this really belongs in the Bugs forum.

I mean--I was asking him. I haven't been online (in-game anyway) yet today to see.

Targettable damage shields were really short duration from what i recall. ~3 minutes doesn't sound unrealistic at all.

On Blue they were in the 10+ minutes range for MANY years. I know this from leveling alts in EC. It was mmmmuuuuuucccchhhh easier to level in EC back then due to the DS duration.

Should've clarified then:. My question was whether that was a big and/or a Titanium-era buff duration that was fixed or was it something that was altered along w the server progression timeline!?
