You're not holding a camp if you aren't clearing it. Simply sitting there doing nothing next to a fully-spawned camp is not sufficient to maintain a claim. Here's the relevant cut-and-paste Landris quote from the P1999 rules post; not using quote feature so it remains visible if someone else quotes my post:

Looks pretty straightforward to me.

That being said that "reported bro" crap rubs me the wrong way. You could at least try to be somewhat civil rather than immediately go into rude mode. You could call out a GM to explain things without the not-so-veiled threat. There are a lot of newbies on Green/Teal and it's possible the other player may have misunderstood.
