Login but not servers listed

Hi, new to p1999 but struggling to get it to work. I've got to the server select screen but there's nothing listed. I'm currently residing in China and so living behind a v2ray proxy. Could this be the cause of the problem? If so does anyone know a work around?

This is the simplest fix. If you don't want to spend $5/month (and protect yourself from your ISP when downloading Bit Torrent) the technical forum has threads where people instead adjust their router settings to solve the problem ... but using a VPN is the simple fix.

(The backstory is that P99 has to deal with all sorts of miscreants, eg. a former player got mad at the server once and launched a series of DDOS, aka Denial of Service attacks. As a result, Rogean has to employ certain networking techniques here which cause issues for people.)
