Default Waves of Nostalgia

Hey guys, so I randomly stumbled upon a youtube vid with some EQ music and it brought me back to my old school days of getting home from school and grinding for a good 3-5 hrs a day.

I want to come back.
haha
So I've searched around and found this project 1999.. but the details are limited? or I'm just not looking in the right spot?

(I'm in the process of installing EQ right now, I bought the titanium)
So is this server like the game from 1999? I see some posts about kunark and such.. isn't that post 1999? Is velious going to be part of this as well? And Luclin and all the crap that follows? I'm unsure of what exactly this server will be like.. is the exp the same, drop rarity, everything else the same? So no new crazy items and crazy debuffs. No planes of knowledge or anything to port you around.. gotta either run or make friends right?

Anddd since I guess I'll start out just like I did before... halfling druid that travels to Kelethin to join his friends... will Crushbone be empty? lol

The servers purpose is to try to emulate the way EverQuest was and how it evolved from Launch through to just before Luclin. Currently we're about 7 weeks into the progression post-kunark release. Velious will be released eventually and then eventually the server will hit a point of 'what now?' because Luclin will never be released.

Due to the fact that this server is the work of people who also have full time jobs, don't expect it to be 100% like you remember it and don't expect exact timelines to be followed. But it's still a helluva good time.

Crushbone usually has people to group with in it, the Kunark newbie zones are definitely much more populated at the moment but the old-world still has people in it (especially during peak hours).

zomg CB HAS PEOPLE IN IT?!
DAMN THIS IS WHAT I HAVE BEEN LOOKING FOR lol

omg NEVER LUCLIN that stuff ruined it. Velious was sweet.. but I feel the mass influx of zones would kill the game. I cannot wait to play tonight lol
