Default Server Connect Issues

Hey All,

So i posted to the facebook group with this question and me and few guys couldnt figure it out.

So, ive been playing off and on with no problems up until today, my game is patched, im running in sp3. all the eqclient files have been renamed, character files removed or renamed. Checked pathing to the eqemu server. Nothing is working.

I got on earlier and was playing on green, and logged to swap toons. the loading took forever and then crashed. and when I got it back and tried to log in. it crashed.

So i can log into all the way to character selection. i can see my toons, they do their animations and as soon as i click enter world, everything locks up and freezes. after 5 minutes it finally goes to a black screen with white letters (Server not responding)
and then it logs me out. So im at a loss ive tried to read through the tech support posts and nothing i find is helping so far. any advice would be great, id prefer not to nuke and reload if i can avoid it. Thank you! [You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.]

Try connecting from somewhere else, or via a VPN or hotspot to rule out network connectivity. If that works, you just need to wait for your ISP to correct the routing issue on their end. Could be a few hours, or it could take several days.

Was there ever any resolution to this problem? I am having the same issue I think. I bought a new modem and then tried playing P99 and noticed I was unable to connect. I hadn't played in about 2 months previous so I do not know if the problem existed just before the modem. I have tried every other solution I can find on here and it has strange behavior. I can login and see the servers and then when I click on the server the game freezes for a few minutes and then shows me the login screen. Sometimes I can see my character and click on enter world but then the game freezes for a few minutes and puts me back at the login screen. I have received an error 1017 and 1018 when logging back in a few times. The week after I first noticed this problem the game worked one day and I was able to login into my game and character and play fine, but then 2 days later it didn't work again. I have been all over my router setting and windows firewall and administrator settings. I am communicating with the p99 game it is just letting me into the game. I have reinstalled and do not have a VPN to test with. I have read that it is something on the ISP's end that could be blocking me that is the next thing I am going to try but they not help me much because it is not a comcast modem.

I have a work around now. If I connect to my modem using the xinifty mobile hotspot I can connect just fine.
