Don't Blame the Staff...
Every couple of years I come back to these red forums and its the same thing.
The very same Degenerates who made the red server unplayable, crying for a wipe or trying to coerce players from blue and green to join red. A new server is never going to happen, and in all honesty it shouldn't. Open world everquest pvp, especially on project 1999 is dead for a reason, Forum nobodies, bothering server staff for over a decade with the same results. Most of you have characters on green. Green is a stable server with a good population unlike red. No expansions are coming. There is no gear wall stopping you. Look, I admire the effort. I get it. Fight nights on a blue box, that's cool. This server didn't die because people on the forums bitched and whined, though. That's silly. The server died because staff were not passionate about pvp servers to begin with, and because a low-pop server needs some design concessions to be sustainable. Which I understand. Why waste the time on a few shitheads when blue is your breadwinner and what you personally liked better? But, supposing any of them ever read this, I'll make the same suggestion I did 15 years ago: just reset the server. Do that every two years. Increase the exp rate. That's it, and that's all. Now you have a seasonal red server that people will play. Because somehow modern pvp MMORPGs still suck.
