Default Character Creation Screen

Tired looking for an answer in the EQemu forums, but there was no clear answer, and I'm sorry if I'm asking this in the wrong place.

I've installed Titanium, done everything in the setup guide, but when I get to the character creation screen, there are no buttons. The cursor changes when I roll over where the buttons should be, but nothing I've tried will make them show up.

I've tried changing resolutions, but that doesn't seem to work either.

Any help would be outstanding, Thanks!

Have you tried un-installing the game entirely and reinstalling? Also what OS are you using? Are u running the shortcut in compatibility mode? Was EQ ever installed on that computer before? From maybe playing from EQ Live? If so there maybe small traces of files on their that are screwing up ur fresh install of the titanium?

haven't tried a re-install.

I'm running Windows XP on a laptop, and I've never had EQ on this computer before.

deleted all EQ files and did a clean install. I can get to Character Select, and the buttons are there for a second, then they poof and I cant do anything from there.

WindowsXP laptop Lenovo Thinkpad R400

I've tried checking the resolution settings and have tried different combos, but no luck.
