New player to EQ, and by extension P99 green

Hey there everyone! Just wanted to say that I've discovered this game recently after having seen a few streams. Always wanted to play it back when I was a kid in early 2000 but wasn't able to.

So far I've got a level 6 halfling druid, and a level 6 human bard. Its been a lot of fun, little unforgiving, but it certainly seems like you earn each level, which is hard to find in a game these days. I come from a background in DAoC, WoW, and CoH. EQ is a different beast entirely, but I'm looking forward to the journey.

Looks like you are off to a good start. You really don't need any items other than the ones you find along your journey so don't get distracted trying to acquire good gear unless that is what you really enjoy. Its fun to complete quests for gear when they are level appropriate but ultimately working your way through the levels in the funnest way possible gets you to the best gear quickest. In a non PVP environment your gear isn't going to make or break you.

Most all of the classes are great especially the ones you chose. Enjoy the journey.
