Default EQ Program Lagging

Whenever I run the program lags, not server or anything, just the program itself. Anyways I can fix this?

Do you have an older computer? You can try closing all the other programs you have running so that the only thing running is EverQuest and try that. You can also try doing wineq2 and running EverQuest through that.

I run my EQ copy in XP with 98/ME compat mode on, don't need EQW or anything else, even though I run a 4core AMD Phenom

If its a multi core CPU bug that is causing this then try using my installed (see my signature) and selection option (5), and use the new shortcut on your desktop. See if the issue goes away.
