NPC Spawn Issue: Trakanon is a 3 day spawn

Somehow all the evidence provided is too spread out or insufficient, so here it is all consolidated.

- The bard epic was not the reason trak spawned more than once a week

Epic Quests:

As part of the Plane updates, we've made several adjustments to Epic quests for a number of classes. Previously, questers of many classes were put in direct competition with regular non-questing adventurers for a few coveted
spawns. In these cases, a new step has been added to separate the "Epic Encounter" NPCs from the "Epic Quest" NPCs.

For those who are mid-quest, all quest requirements have remained the same. In other words, if you turn the same items into the same NPC, the same reward applies. What has changed is that some components may be in a different location from where you expect them. It is recommended that you check with the last NPC in line or other adventurers to find where you need to go next.

The Undead Bard did not exist until this time, March 14th, 2001- so, by this logic we can know that Trak was a 3 day spawn because when those DKP logs were made there was no such thing as An Undead Bard, this is backed up by it not showing up on Alla until April of 2001, and by the patch notes I've posted above.

As you can see, This is a full week with no repops. On the 9th there was a patch. Even if the 11th was a crash, he respawned 3 days later.

Legacy of steel

If you look through their archives, you'll also see that the Trak kills 3 days after a trak do not include a VS kill if there was no patch or mention of server crash.


I know changes have been made on significantly less evidence than this, and i've yet to find any evidence suggesting he was 7 days. If this is still insufficient evidence, I will happily gather more if you will explain why.

I played during this period heavily, the first raid I ever led was a Trakanon raid. I remember it being 3 days and I think we've all provided more than enough evidence to put Trak in jail for murder on the 3d spawn timer.

All respect, and I understand lots of stuff is broken, I just want to make sure i've presented enough evidence since a Dev hasn't commented.

If more evidence is needed or there is any direct counter-evidence to my points, I will happily do the work to solidify my position.
