Hey guys im new to p99 i did the instructions on eqemulater and on this site. I am able to get to login on the server but it says my spell list is out of date/old. only thing i can think of is i might have unzipped the files into the wrong eq files. i did them under the eq folder in eq and the ufiles default twice to make sure. Any help is much appreciated. Always thanks p99 for giving all of us this chance to play and volunteering.

For the future, you're likely to get the visibility you want in Technical Discussion, but it's whatever =P.

You'll want to follow the "Getting Started" to the letter:

SPECIFICALLY you wan't to do these two things to play on p99:

Then download the following file and extract into your Everquest folder, overwriting any files if it prompts you to:
http://www.project1999.org/files/eqchangesv10.zip

Navigate to the uifiles/default folder within your Everquest Directory and copy the files from the following zip into it:
That should do it. For the first one, just copy and paste those items directly into the Everquest folder, you should be overwriting two text files and merging a folder.

Shit happened to me once. I just re-unzipped the files into the folder. EQ emu makes you jump through hoops for a reason. It isn't supposed to be there. So you just have to assume it's going to be weird sometimes and be persistent
