WTS Trying something new.. Raffle auctions(Trade Fed project)

We at the Trade Federation are always looking to meet the EC customer's needs.
One thing that people have talked about and showed interest in would be item raffles.

Raffles will take place once all the tickets are sold on an item. You will be given a number and a Trade Federation member will /random 1 # and winner will be announced. You don't have to be present to win.
Worst case, these items will be raffled Friday at 5PM EST, to whatever tickets are purchased.

So to start this process, here is our first list of raffle items, and the ticket prices for the raffle. List will show (Number of purchased tickets / Number available):

Orb of Tishan (4/10) $1k/ticket
51 DE Warrior, full visible indico set.. carnal pauldrons, Painbringer and amygdalan tendril, 21% sky belt, has Jboots Won by Aquafresh

We have many more items in the 10k+ range we'd like to do in this format, trying to test out the market and see what people's interest is.

question, you say 5 dollars for a raffle ticket for the warrior, is that 5 RL dollars? does this count as a RMT?

There are no dollars, it's listed in thousand plat amounts.

It says $5k. So either he means $5000 dollars or 5000 plat. Pretty sure its plat =P

Why cap the amount of tickets a person can buy?

If for some reason a person wants to pay half the amount of the items value in tickets instead of buying the item himself he should be able to in my opinion. This will also shorten the length of the auction time which is a good thing.

we'll see how it goes and may change it up. I'd rather have more people enter than half two people square off. I guess it doesn't matter though.

i escrowed that deal the other week. this war was an alt of a high level char who needed plat.. so we bought it to kick start this program.
