Default Flame Lick not generating enough agro

The Flame Lick spell is well known for generating a lot of agro. It's used by druids and rangers to hold agro for reverse kiting mobs. I have noticed that on this server that it generates very little agro after the first one lands.

By comparison, on live from before Kunark all the way past PoP, if you hit a mob with six or seven flame licks, it took an act of God to pull agro off of you. I used to regularly kite mobs with a pair of rogue friends, and we never needed tanks or healers.

I think the spell should be fixed to generate the proper amount of hate.

Default 22 levels as ranger.

I can confirm this.

I am level 22 ranger here on p1999. Flame lick/ snar is supposed to be the ranger agro spell. In the groups i have been able to get <people sure dont love rangers on p1999> i have used flame lick like i used to on sony servers and to my shock it does little to nothing. My poor clerics/casters die to fast for me to depend on snare to gain immidiat agro.

Please restore flame lick back to its original agro machine and restore the right place of rangers to die first in grps at least taht way casters/priest doesnt have too die.

for completeness sake here is sk/paly <other hybrids> agro spell.

Sk have the diseas baseed one diseas cloud

Paladins have flash of light

rangers have flame lick

Thank you devs of p1999 hope my input was helpfull.

I will help with some anecdotal evidence all over the internet how Flame Lick was the ranger's primary aggro generation tool vs. Snare/Ensnare. Here on P99, I rarely even bother with Flame Lick.... and chain cast a snare instead. These links show a predisposition towards using Flame Lick:

Flame Lick does nowhere near the kind of aggro it did in Live back in the day.

Default True

So true , I was bummed when Flame Lick did not generate the correct aggro here on p1999. I still remember the day after Nerf on live , being pissed in Ponightmare cause it wasnt holding aggro ... It was the only spell I used to gain aggro back in the day. Granted a lower level snare does the job and its very cheep on mana, Ive worked around it.

Fix this please

I agree. Not even close to what it was on live.

Will generate a respectable amount of aggro, pending update.
