![]() This is a good example as to why MQ needs to be removed from the game. The same handful of dudes selling the MQ and preventing others from getting it is just a bad system. I know a guy who just sits and does this all day long and another who has banked 100kpp and is still doing it.
Was MQ ever intended by the devs of the original game? Because it seems some quests can be MQ and some are not so it seems like the ones that are, are just a bug. But I would assume if they removed MQ the population would drop a lot.

![]() MQ used properly is good. A NO DROP epic piece (for example) with nobody in zone to loot is wasted. MQ allows at least a chance for it to be used.
You are correct though, the jboot perma-campers fuck everything. We'd lose more by dropping MQ completely then we would gain IMHO. I dunno what the answer is, if there even is one.

![]() Jboots MQ control reduces jboots supply and make jboots less affordable.

![]() according to supply and demand if this is camped 24/7 there is more in circulation because it's constantly camped. injecting more rings per day than would otherwise be seen. I'd say this is causing prices to drop. for example: this MQ is ridiculously low compared to years past. I'm seeing 4k per MQ on blue. that's reasonably priced IMO.

![]() Can someone bump the thread I made about the same problem
Like I don’t mind paying for an MQ, what I do have a problem with is waiting in line for the ancient cyclops when the Druid in front of me has 26 corpses, many of which are decaying, that have the ancient ring on them At a certain point this violates the PNP since it’s literally zonewide disruption Like u could do this with a lot of other items, imagine if I just decided I’m going to make it a personal hobby to camp monk pipes indefinitely, effectively making it really difficult for monks to farm this item. This ain’t playing nice, nor is it classic, in true classic someone would just ks or train you and you would get blacklisted, lol. I feel like these ppl forcing a monopoly on items they don’t need is zone wide disruption, and a direct violation of the PNP, and plan to write a letter to my congressman this fall asking for them do something about it. What was the point of building a wall in misty thicket if elves can still pour in off the eastern shore while humans twiddle their thumbs,

![]() Also I may get banned for saying this but I highly encourage y’all to kill hasten every time you see him and then message these jboot hawgs from an anonymous level 1 character sad say to them that you are sorry for they loss
And then when they ask what you are talking about be like the body of hasten was just found this morning, it washed up on the shores of lake rathe

![]() Quote:
The biggest problem with this server is that it is classic to a point where things the devs did back then would most likely or have already said this was a bad idea. Even Diablo 2 made some QOL changes when they released D2R. Auto gold pickup, bigger stash, increased chance of high rune drops and adjusting skills/items to name a few. I think it would make sense to revisit many things to see what makes sense as a QOL. For example, Lguk spawns are still 28 min while it is way less in Kunark/Velious zones. Maybe keep jboots in Najena while maintaining the AC spawns. If I had a sever, this is something I would do but it is not so it is what it is. However I would not mind seeing a D2R version of EQ where they adjust things like this.
