![]() There are two undeniable facts here:
As long as I am on the forums I rarely log in game, which means the GM's don't have to deal with CSRing entire raids every hour on the hour. Banning me from the forums forces me to log in which causes a harsher and more profound impact on the community than if I just stay in R&F. You always seem to tag me with a "ban evasion" when I log in... but how about PMing and talking over why it was a permaban when the rules state that it should've only been a warning? How about some deliberation instead of wanton punishment? To quote the rules exactly: "In extreme cases, even isolated personal attacks may lead to a ban. Legal threats, death threats, and issues of similar severity may result in a ban without warning. However, moderators are cautioned that other resolutions are preferable to bans for less severe situations when it is unclear if the "conduct severely disrupts the project". Recurring attacks are proportionally more likely to be considered "disruption". Banning for personal attacks should only be done for prevention, not punishment. A ban may be warranted if it seems likely that the user will continue using personal attacks." Using the term "uncle tom/house ******" in a thread does not constitute an extreme case not does it indicate I will continue using personal attacks seeing as that was an assessment of how the black community views some people outside that community. In a sense you used an extreme banishment by banning my IP and permabanning my account without so much as a warning, which is an indication that you used your moderator powers to issue a "punishment" for your own personal vendetta against my character. All I want is discussion with you, but you continue to oppress and silence me, forcing me to escalate into personal attacks on you and posting scathing material regarding your personal life. So let's just be men about this, and recognize that you cannot stop me from posting, so let's find a peaceful resolution? | ||
