Default The way I see it.

I am actually feeling very sorry for the devs lately.
I can understand people are upset they may or may not feel there is GM favoritism to certain people.....

1. Gm favor certrain guilds/people.
2. TR/TMO other "too big to fail" guilds are ruining the server.
3. Corruption on development team.
4. QQ about everything

Reality is....this is a free to play server, and it's brought back a bunch of great memories for me. I don't see why most don't see it as this and move on. If you do not like it here, I'm sure there are other games out there. Is it fair what's going on? I dunno, I don't care really. Should people be banned for cheating when the rules specifically state they should be? Ya, but it's up to the devs again.

When we have a good thing here, it's only a matter of time before we run off the devs for putting in the work, and getting no appreciation for it. IMO

I agree with you that the server is great and we owe a ton of respect and thanks to the devs. Even so I find the "don't like it, move on" school of thought to be pretty weak.

While the server is obviously their's the concept cannot work without a community. I think our role as players in the community means we have an obligation to submit feedback on how the server is run and the rules that govern it. The moment we agree to everything the GMs say without feedback is when it's no longer a community. Don't confuse this with complete rebellion and disrespect against the GMs; there is of course a happy medium.

While I feel the devs have done an incredible job here and ultimately have the final say, it's frustrating to see some of the results of the recent cheating problems. It seems to me the community as a whole agrees the punishment on the cheaters should have been harsher. Personally, I'm upset a list of the cheaters wasn't published. I feel they owe us that much.

That was very well said. Also, I do feel that if in the original rules the cheaters should be banned, then they should be banned. Just don't want to make this "more work than it's worth" for the devs, cause I like the option to play here

Who knows what's going to come in the future, I just hope it all gets worked out.

seems like every one is starting to not "freak-out" anymore on the forums over things, but the server has always been fine, the most fun i had was back last summer after school was out for summer, from may to july i think all i did then was play eq when not working, or going to dumb parties, thats when i finally got to the top lvls, started raiding with a few guilds, back then yea the top guilds still made trouble for each other, but it was no way near as bad as it is now, but dunno how itll be in the next 4-6 months, i just play with the intent of having a fun classic time
