Default Hill Giant $$$

(Didn't see anything regarding this on the recent patch notes - excluding the part about ice giants dropping more of the gp/sp/cp.)

Hill giants, at least in rathe mtns, aren't dropping that much platinum since the patch. From what I saw you'd get like 4 giants that drop maybe 5pp at tops (or sometimes no pp at all), then one that drops the normal double digit plat. The gold-silver-copper drops seem to work as normal.

And no, no rogue was roaming around the zone at the time.

SGs I whacked earlier the day forfeit their allowance as normal!

Must agree something has changed as of last patch. I'm not sure if the current loot table is more classic or not but I didn't see the change posted in the notes.

The big difference I've noticed was the crazy amount of gold that drops now. I get 60g-40g each loot sometimes where the loot use to be more so platinum. After 2 hours or so of none stop pulling I came away with 360p and over 1k gold.

Yep, I didn't list this in patch notes apparently; sorry about that. Hill giants received coin changes with the ice giants.

This is how it works on live from logs.

copper/silver/gold/plat

87 105 85 20
75 6 89 0
8 90 64 40
166 91 56 2
110 83 45 0
106 139 70 3
22 69 8 20
106 67 61 5
105 95 68 0
124 91 9 29
176 75 65 36
93 107 9 28
106 99 62 4
169 71 56 3
111 56 41 3
122 93 42 35
113 109 69 0

Ice giants and hill giants both seem to follow the same trend. You either get a high roll (20-50pp) or a low roll (0-6pp). The rest of the coin is overall unchanged.

Discuss.

The changes pretty much match what I remember on live now. IGs are dropping more loot (although few sells for more than like 2-3 plat) and more coins, but less plat. Overall, the cash flow has remained more or less unchanged, just comes in different forms now.

On live, IGs were always tempting for a farm spot for me because of the lack of competition compared to furies. But even with the competition, furies are superior cash farms. Mainly because you might get lucky and get 2 big gems on a single fury and get almost 200pp on one kill. To get that, you'd have to spend almost a half hour at IGs with all 3 spawns camped.
