Spells: Necro pet not using weapons

I have not tried with other levels yet, but since patch my level 44 necro pet will not use weapons. I give them to him, he takes them, but does not use them or dual wield.

BTW, necro pets dual wielding using weapon speed at this point in progression is classic! Mage pets were not tho =)

Yeah mage necro pets lvl 29 weren't taking them either. ALL PETS BROKE AAAAH RUNNN!!! the world is ending!!!

UPDATE: i am noticing if you give your pet the weapons anyways, they do seem to hit harder then if you didn't

My alternate theory is that Abacab is stalking me and pickpocketting my pet as soon as I give him weaps.

we made some changes to the pet messages but doesn't seem to be this that is causing it. might be a source issue?
