Default Worth starting?

Hey guys,
Long story short. I have not had time for EQ but I still want to play.
Sad to see population pretty low but still willing to give it a shot maybe.
Why is pop so low? Worth comming back to my lvl 12 or so shaman?

if you enjoy soloing on a dead server, yeah, you will be able to solo your way as a shaman.

don't plan on ever being able to facilitate a group though unless global OOC gets put in.

pop is low because staff have basically ignored the server since launch and most of the problems that have plagued the server since beta persist.

every week population declines by 25ish players during primetime and those who already have chars are not motivated to invest any further time into them due to seeing zero dev attention and a constantly waning population, as an exampled 10 of the 14 in my guild no longer play because of this.

in a few weeks if population has not picked up or at least some influx of dev attention i will also be hanging up my hat and going back to ipy2 where there are still 800 - 1200 on a night and a large sweeping patch is about to be released.

global ooc, leaderboards, accelerated xp among others were all sorely needed on day one of the server, now even if they are implemented it may be to late.

its not as bad as people make it out to be. lower levels are slow but not non-existent, you just have to put a little legwork in to find groups in the lower levels.
