Default thinking of comming to the server

I was told of the project from another form. Played EQ from 99 until 2009. Was talking with the wife and she suggested we start playing again. Additionally our 3 sons would play also. I played on prexus then sullon Zek then finally Zek. We are looking for a pvp server which this project has which is good. Few questions.

1. What expansion is unlocked on the pvp server? I looked but cant seem to find it. depending on what content is unlocked wll depend on the race we will be. (the boys want to be iskar but I told them we need a cleric)

2. What is the pvp rule set on the server?

3. Is joining a guild a mandatory thing? What I mean by that question is when I played on SZ you didn't have to be in a guild to exp and lvl but if you wanted to progress to the higher end you had to be in a guild. Same with Zek.

4. I understand you can only 2 box but I am going to assume that all of us playing in one house will be ok? Would I be able to 2 box even though everyone else is playing also???

5. We are in the central time zone, the kids can play more then me and the wife but we would probably average 3 to 4 hours a night.

Any suggestions would be welcome, probably wont begin playing until the weekend. I still need to find the right copy of EQ.

1. Classic. Only thing open is PoF atm.

2. No Training.

3. Joining guild helps a lot for leveling.

4. No 2 boxing. Need to apply for IP exempt asap.

5. Cool.

We are still in classic at the moment. Plane of Fear just came out with plane of hate and sol temple due soon.

Its level based ffa pvp. It starts are +-4 lvls, then goes up to 6, then at 42 its 8 level range.

You dont need to join a guild up to probably 35ish, but there is general lawlessness on the server versus the honorable system that existed on live. Most guilds will kill unguilded so eventually its best to apply to a guild or roll with a lot of friends.

You can't 2box at all. You can all play at once, but just know if you have IP exemption on your accounts you will be checked continually and when it even looks like someone may be 2boxing, you will have all your accounts banned.

Theres usually a decent amount of people from 4pm to midnight eastern time if that gives you any idea.

Best suggestion is to avoid any PVP forum other than wtb/wts or guild section. They are full of all kinds of strange characters who only try to grief and flame or claim everyone cheats when this simply is not the case.

Well thanks for the help, looks like we will all be plain old humans or elf then since we can each be the classes we want.

We will have a well balanced group cleric / shammie / warr / druid / havent made my mind up on SK or ranger.

Not sure who I apply for the IP permission I will have to look it up.

Are all of the quest the same as on blue server? will assume so just want to get a game plan.

Any other suggestions will be welcome.

Any minor or possibly "suspicious" behavior warrants a ban (no warning), no questions asked and no due process. The attitude is that IP Exemptions are such a gift that you must go completely out of your way to always prove you aren't boxing. My brother and I got banned once because he went on a beer run and sat AFK while I continued to kill. He took about an hour because he stopped by a friends house on his way home. Anyway because the IP was flagged for exemption it was assumed I was boxing the characters because I didn't mind sharing XP with my brother for a short duration (<1hr). No questions asked, ban.

So just keep in mind that anything that can possibly be construed as boxing is bannable including just simply autofollowing while one of you use the bathroom. Most players seem to be on a witch-hunt for this behavior too so just be warned.

Are you serious? Even in classic EQ auto follow and quick afk while the group is pulling and killing was a "normal" thing. Well what about the cleric in the group who sits after argo is gotten and only heals after the fight?

Using ip exemption to go on a "beer run" is abuse of ip exemption and you should have been permenantly banned as I hope you have been.

Yes, don't even think about going afk while logged on this server. Many people have been banned for trying to pull a quick afk during downtime in groups. If you autofollow it is common courtesy to constantly type in some way to let at least one person know that your still at the keyboard (for logs). The most common method is to just constantly spam a stream of consciousness to the person your autofollowing. Don't be shy, spill your guts about everything you can think of so there is no accidental lapse of time that could be logged.
