Quest Issue: Gnasher's Head

Just killed Gnasher Furgutt in Qeynos Hills, and did not loot his head off the corpse.

Larsk Juton says 'Hail, Adventurer! I hope you are enjoying your time in Surefall Glade. You must be careful when leaving the Jaggedpine. There have been many report of [Sabertooths] attacking travelers.'

You say, 'What are Sabertooths?'

Larsk Juton says 'The gnolls of Blackburrow are called Sabertooths. They have been seen in force on a regular basis. They are surely up to something. We have even heard rumors of a [pact] between Qeynos merchants and the dogs.'

You say, 'What pact?'

Larsk Juton says 'Sources have come forward to tell of a pact between a merchant of Qeynos and the Sabertooths. It all has to do with blades and brew. We hear that a meeting will occur soon, somewhere in the Qeynos Hills at night. Do not fear, we shall find a brave ranger to [halt this meeting].'

You say, 'I will halt this meeting.'

Larsk Juton says 'Very good of you. Stop this meeting by killing the gnoll in Qeynos Hills. We hear that he shall be there in the late evening, and that his name is Furgoot or Furgy, something like that. Find him and kill him. I want his head. And if you should find any evidence of who the merchant is, be sure to hand it over to me.'

Gnasher Furgutt may be found in Qeynos Hills (/loc?).

You say, 'Hail, Gnasher Furgutt'

Gnasher Furgutt says 'Who are you? Did McNeal send you? If not, you would do yourself good to leave Gnasher alone. I have friends in high places.'

Kill him to loot a Gnoll Head (identifies as "Gnasher's Head"). Bring it back to Larsk Juton.

Larsk Juton says 'So, I see you rid the hills of the beast. Good work! I have a reward for you. I hope it will be usefull. I am afraid this gnoll's death will not halt the alliance between the two. I shall require your services to [assist in the extermination of the gnoll brewers].'

Your faction standing with Protectors of Pine got better.
Your faction standing with Jaggedpine Treefolk got better.
Your faction standing with Sabertooths of Blackburrow could not possibly get any worse.
Your faction standing with Guards of Qeynos got better.
You gain experience!!
You receive 3 gold from Larsk Juton.

You receive a random piece of low-level armor.

Turning in Gnasher's head to Captain Tillin results in the Medal of Merit as an optional result.

I'm pretty sure you loot a note off this corpse (which doesn't always drop) and turn that in, not his head.

perhaps the note is for the qeynos side of the quest, because that spawns the executioner who goes and kills mcneal, but the surefall side is absolutely gnasher's head.

Fixed this sometime earlier in the week. Just hasn't been posted as a patch yet.

DB- Gnasher Furgutt will now always drop his head. He will drop his note 90% of the time as well.

You can turn in the note to captain tillin for the medal and the executioner event. After the next patch.

I found some really good pics of the executioner event btw, so it should be quite classic.
