Default HQ ore drop rate

Greetings everyone

So since their are no notes in this patch discussing human cultural outside of high quality ore being removed from merhcants, I asssumed that the broken recepies where fixed. I headed to permafrost to farm high quality ore as i remembered the gobos their can drop small, larg , and blocks of high Quality ore.

120 to 130 didnt keep exact count

for all the wonderfull killing 6 small and 1 large brick of high quality ore.

Dont take this wrong way devs, but SIRIOUS this is how you want human smiths to increase skill ???

Thats nearly 2.5 hours of killing greens

IF this was how humane cultural was implemented originaly, then by all means keep it as that is intended goal of this server keeping it as close to classic possible. Would seem wierd for orig eq to release human cultural in this methode

Only reason to keep HQ ORE of the merhcant I could think of is to keep plat exploit from happening here on p1999 as it did on live. I did a seperate thread on that exploit in the appropiat forum with alternative option to keeping HQ ore on merhcant and not have exploit happen here.

Pls fix drop rate or at least allow smiths to convert fs waepons to high quality ore.

Thanks for listening.

Edited so sylexis brain can stop bleeding 8)

Reading that made my brain hurt.

However I also ran around in SolA for a while looking for HQ ore and after about 40 minutes of not a single piece I gave up. I'm not sure when the Fine Steel conversions went in but I would appreciate if the drop rate was checked.

/cookies n milk for the devs

Apparently live side did devs did want human smiths to learn this way.

- Added high quality ore vendors to Bazaar, Kaladim, and Qeynos that
sell a limited supply of HQ Ore.

That puts well into luclin so we human smiths and anoyne else used HQ ore is in for a lot of hunting in perma /solesk eye.

******* drop rate is still very low averaging 1 hq ore for every 8 to 12 kills *****

BOTH PERMA AND SOLESK EYE HAVE NO BLOCK OF HQ ORE DROPING.

We have to accept that we cannot just buy our ore in merhcants , fine but at least allow for the proper kind of drops of the gobo in both these dungeons. I do remember gobos in both these dugneons droping Blocks of High Quality ore.

at my current rate i am able to farm enough material to attempt 4 skill ups in roughly 5 hrs .

That sounds about right for the numbers I setup. I used the magelo drop rates and added up the drop rates for the HQ ores and unrefined ores, then split it between the HQ ores. Just double checked it on our test server, and they're dropping in perma/sola. Should improve once people start realizing they are valuable for resale.

Default Blocks HQ ore not droping

Hello devs

I have spent another 8hrs over 2 days now clearing the kings room down to high shaman room and etc around the area not a single block of high quaility ore has dropped for me.

I am geting consistly small and large bricks every 8 to 12 gobos killed but thats it. I thought killing the higer levels gobos would generate some blcoks but this has not been the case.

Thanks for listerning

Blocks will drop, pending update. You can make blocks via http://www.eqtraders.com/items/show_...r=035000000000, for the time being.

Default woot

Sweet thank you karanas!!!

I am already making blocks from every small and large brick i can get my hands on, as that is only way to make folded high quality metal sheet.

My smith is skill 190 thats means 59 skill to max out. at average of 20 combines per skill that is 1180 combines at min if range is mean can be more.

with block hopefully soon dropping i will get 7 to 9 combines worth of material < 1 hq folded sheet per combines>. current farming time 3 to 4hrs.

1 hq folded sheet items trivial 219 skill. 29 skill pts to get at 20 combines each 580 combines here i come. hmm 64 sessions of farming.

Maybe ill go Xp on my smith till Blocks are put in.
