What's your favorite race/class to play?

Not the best class for doing X in the game - but the one that just makes you all giddy about logging in?

Mine is my High Elf Paladin. Why? That was my first 'real' character in EQ back in actual 1999. I had toyed with an Ogre fighter but kept getting lost. I tried a human cleric and by level 2 was shaking my head.

Then I logged in as a HIE Paladin... what a difference! I was in a clean, walled and easily mapped city! Just outside the city gates there were bats, skeletons, orc pawns and loads of other High Elves. Some of them even gave me stuff! For free!

It was with this character that I first started exploring the world of Norrath. I found the lifts and was amazed. A tree city!

That's why, no matter what I'm playing now in EQ, a HIE Paladin will always be my alt.

I had a HIE PAL main on Live, and HEF BRD alt. I was in a BoT grind session and saw the amazing things one of our guild bards was doing. Then I really started leveling my alt bard, and became hooked. On this server, my main is a bard, and I'm loving the class. "We can do anything, 18 (now 12) seconds at a time" has become a slogan of mine, and I've thoroughly enjoyed learning what a "jack of all trades" can really do.

However, I also made the HIE PAL again. Like Live, my goals with him are to get the ND and FD I never got on Live (although Sword of Ssra is identical model to ND). I also have a necro to try something new, but really I just wanted to do more with what I already had.

QFT, though bard was one of my mains on live from the get-go.

Live EQ: HIE Paladin
P99: HEF Paladin

I enjoyed having a lot of mana on my High Elf Paladin back in 1999. However, they sure were ugly in terms of the original models. That is why I switched to half elf. Though now I am remembering all the pain of leveling a paladin in classic again. Ouch.

Halfling Rogue was my first real character back on live. I made it a personal quest to get my hands on as many illusion masks as I could, and put an AA point in Master of Disguise, so nobody knew my secret Identity! Muahahahah :P Really loved that toon. My focus once I get onboard with P99 will be a Halfelf Bard. I cant wait!
