![]() Hey,
Proximity aggro is basically aggroing a mob while inside their aggro radius but staying outside other socials mobs proximity aggro radius. When you do this the mobs not supposed to transfer aggro. Been trying it and I can't seem to get it to work. Done a good search of the interwebz but its difficult to get 1999 info and I'm not sure if P1999 has the same. If anyone knows how the mechanics of this work would appreciate it.

![]() Theres direct aggro, proximity aggro and assist aggro.
Direct aggro - from damage you do to a mob. Proximity aggro - aggro from getting too close, other mobs won't assist as it runs past, doesn't transfer. Assist aggro - aggro that a mob with DA transfers to another mob. Assist aggro won't transfer to another mob. I think thats correct.

![]() In light of that, I'm confused by what "in range of DA" means also.

![]() What you've described is definitely not how things work on p99.
Social mobs will assist onto you whether the mob you drag past them is aggrod onto you because of proximity, direct, OR assist/social aggro. Afraid I don't know how it worked on live. Having a hard time believing it was different than this on live. If it were, you would have been able to single-pull outdoor camps without harmony because you could just creep an inch forward at a time until you got proxy aggro of the closest mob to you, and then it would come alone.

![]() Guide seems like it was written later in the timeline than we are (will ever be?). I see mention of GoD.
More importantly, perhaps, is that his definition of direct aggro includes your defintions of direct aggro AND proximity aggro. "DIRECT AGGRO (DA) Arises when you attack a mob. Fairly obviously, when pulling, you must either do something detrimental to it, or go within aggro range if it is KoS." According to his definitions, you will get assist aggro onto you by dragging a mob you pulled with proxy aggro too close to the social mob(s).

![]() This is the whole point of the lull line of spells. It lowers their aggro radius... The two circles of aggro, centered on each mob, no longer overlap when they are lulled; this allows you to pull each mob separately.
