Default Mob Corpses sinking into floor

I have experienced this a LOT in Blackburrow and is easy to reproduce..
When a mob is killed and you are in the vicinity of it, the corpse rests upon the surface. You can loot it easily enough. If however you were not nearby when the mob died, the corpse is not on the floor, it is in it. What happens is that as you enter an area where a mob was killed, you can sometimes see a sliver of the name of the corpse jutting out above the floor. As you get closer and the angle of perspective to that area of floor decreases, the name sliver disappears. You can click the area (takes a lot of effort to find the exact spot) and loot the corpse. I have experienced this in various other zones. I will shoot some screenshots in an effort to demonstrate and also provide more details.
This only has appeared to happen to mob corpses, not player ones..
The reason I am posting about it in advance of supporting and specific data is to see if others have noted this as well.

I've seen this happen also. Had to use /target <mob> and then /loot to loot it.

I have definitely noticed this, but I can't remember what zones specifically. I know Oggok for sure.

That's because the corpse actually sinks to the floor, while it appears to be floating on top.

Happens all over emulatings... on some servers they vanish completely underground, /target being the only way to find the corpses of mobs. Think it's usually caused by not being nearby or not being in the zone when the mob died.
