Default First toon on P99

Hello all! I started an iksar necro a few days ago, my first time playing EQ since 2002. My question is, should I stay 1-60 on kunark? The newbie areas seemed to be a little vacant over the past few days. Is it worth it to travel to the old world to level up (more populated)? I definitely do not mind soloing, but its not my intent to always play alone. If anyone wants to group up, send me a tell. I usually play around 5pm - 10pm EST

You'll have a hard time getting your spells yourself. Most every vendor outside of Cabilis is going to hate you as an iksar unless you put in a lot of time improving your faction.

You can always enlist the help of other players though, or try to drop something of value on the ground in a spot you've got an alt logged out and then switch to pick the item up, sell it, buy spells with it and stick the spells in a pack, then drop the pack and switch back to your necro to pick up the bag. It works quite well if you do it in a safe, out-of-the-way location. Neither method is entirely trustworthy though! [You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.]

As a Iksar you can buy spells in the sewers in East Freeport. But I think, and may be wrong, they only go up to like level 20 or so for a Necro.

The safest way to get sewers in EFP is to go through the tunnel to N Ro, then into the wall in E Freeport. Lately there has been a Guard in Freeport going into the hidden tunnel. Didn't use to be that way?? So not safe going or coming from the sewers that way anymore to me.

You can sell and buy from Shady in the tunnel. He is a cheap skate bastard but about the only one to deal with. You can buy Jade and re sell it back to him to get rid of your Copper, Silver. But all the venders in the sewer except the female SK in the last room to the left will deal with you .. I think nearly everyone is KoS to her.

As of about a month ago, my iksar shaman and shadowknight were both able to buy red wine and hand it in to the guy in the library without any shenanigans besides invising past the guards.

Doing the red wine faction work may not improve your relations with the necromancers, but it will give you a good, convenient place to bank and vendor.
