Default Nektulos spawns

1. The Stone Guardians and Iron Guardians are not spawned in the correct place. They are hanging around "Newbie Log" in Nektulos when they should be out by the Lavastorm area.

2. Young Kodiaks spawned in Nektulos, and for some reason they are not spawning much (if at all). I remember there were 2 spawns on the EC tunnel side of the river that wandered around and 1 that spawned on the Neriak side of the river. I remember this very well due to the amount of YK TRAIN TO NEWBIE LOG shouts you saw leveling there.

3. Decaying Skeletons were social but not aggresive. As it stands now they are social AND aggresive which is fairly painful for newbies.

4. The Wizard portal in Nektulos has an incorrect spawn chart. The spawns at the portal should be as follows.

1)Skeleton - Common
2)Zombie
3)Decaying Skeleton
4)Lesser Mummy

5. Leatherfoots / the Druids in Nektulos were allied with Halfling players. Halflings who were low hit points (20% of less) would be healed to 50% by these druids.

6. The druids / leatherfoots were KoS to Skeletons / Shadowwolves and bears. They would attack these animals, social each other and heal each other when fighting these mobs.

7. The Halfings in Nektulos acted like guards for "Good Races". See 6) for reasons.

8. The Dark Elf Guard pathing along the road to EC from the bridge would stop at the end of the road and stand guard there at times.

9. There was a Dark Elf guard who walked almost to "Newbie Log" and then to Lavastorm entrance and stood guard there. Currently the one at the lavastorm portal does not move, he just stands there.

10. All guards KoS'd everyone in Nektulos, no matter their level. A green guard would KoS a level 60, it didn't matter level difference.

11. Bixies did not spawn in old Nektulos.

I'm sure there's more but I will post it as I come across it.

Increased the chance of young kodiaks. They were certainly rare.

decaying skeletons were kos in some newbie zones and non-kos in others. need evidence/research of which zones.

Fixed a while back.

Anyone have evidence this would occur? It seems you could ask for healing, but I'm not sure about the npcs automatically doing it.

^ Fixed, pending update. Amiable or higher.

Leatherfoots will act this way, pending update.

Dark elf nektulos guards will 'green aggro' PCs.

There is a SEQ spawnlog entry for a bixie in Nektulos. It should be rare though.

And there should only be one. I think currently there's more than one on p99, or at least the bixie(s) are very common, which is inaccurate:

I have never seen any bixies in Nektulos Forest, that may have been a few patches ago

Bixies DO spawn in Nektulos Forest -- due SOUTH of Neriak's entrance there is a log. If you stand at the north end of the log, facing WEST, you should see a boulder in front of you. Every hour or so ONE bixie will fly up to the rock, hover for perhaps 3 seconds then disappear. If you are lucky (and patient) enough to wait for it, target and use a low level spell to kill it, you may get a bixie stinger (which is all I received).
(comments show the rarity/location of the bixie in Nektulos. Pretty sure the stuff about it spawning every hour and disappearing is untrue though)

There will be one bixie possible, pending update.

That should suffice for being rare, yet being there.

Decaying skeletons were not KoS in ANY classic zones. The iksar versions of decaying skeletons were KoS with the release of Kunark in field of bone, making them unique from the rest in old world zones.

This is how it currently is on EQ Mac still as well.

"in field of bone they aggro- what the heck- thats whole point of the monster- somethin you can see and say thank God its not somethin thats gonna aggro on me-- at least they drop shields thats pretty nifty.... just wonderin what the point of having a decayin skellie aggro... its a good reason to not play a iksar jkjk"
