key binding

Every time I return to this game I cannot for the life of me recall how to bind things like sense heading , foraging etc...to a movement key (left for example). Can someone please post again...thanks.

Under the 'Keys' tab of the options menu (alt+o) you can bind a primary and a secondary key to the same action.

Therefore, you can put the 'sense heading' button in hobutton slot 1, and bind "Activate hotbutton 1" to the seconday keystroke of whatever your movement key(s) are.

For instance, I rebind my movemement keystrokes from the default arrow keys to the WASD method.
I bind sense heading (hotbutton 1) as secondary to my A key, and forage (hotbutton 2) to my D key.
You could also bind sense heading (hotbutton 1) to both A and D at the same time.

EDIT: doh, saw you figured it out after you edited - I must be getting old too...
