Error 1018

Keep getting error 1018 saying I currently have a character logged in to my account, this is not the case and the problem doesn't just last a few minutes when it occurs, is there anything I can do about this? I know the admins at eqemu have stated that since they believe it to be a server specific issue they will not look into it. Does anyone else have this issue? How often does it occur for you guys? Also, again is there anything we can do to fix this issue or lessen it? Thanks
