Default Charming?

A friend and I are thinking of rolling a druid enchanter combo and charm tanking our way up to 60 for xp.

I remember when I played months ago for some reason that wasnt possible, something to do with charming not working right. Has this been fixed?

Is this still the best way to level with an enchanter?\

Thanks

Charm is outrageous and you can level a chanter to 60 in < 3 days played.

It helps to have someone give you a quick 2 hour PL session in unrest to knock out 1-20 or w/e but not necessary. Also access to about 2-3k for the basic cha gear (opalline earrings, cat eye bracers, star ruby rings, rod of glamour, crude stein, drake leggings, etc)

two points - if you want to spend a lot of time duo in dungeons, I would suggest ench + cleric for better pve duo. Got dat CH for pet, hp buffs + stuns for living thru hasted pet breaks. and ya what HB said, cha gear critical.

if you just want to lvl outdoors, can definitely be safer with a druid for snares and then u can just fear kite. (and druids can obv help charm animals i.e. karanas 20-35, raptors 50-60).

but yea charming is definitely one of the fastest xp tracks.

Thanks for all of the advice.

My friend is going to play the enchanter for sure. I am just not sure what to play with him to duo.

Though cleric would be great for pve, for me it would be the last class I want to play in pvp.

We were thinking Druid maybe for sow and heals and thorns and port. Other options that jump out are Shaman with pet and heals and better slow, Necro with better pet and already awesome soloing ability, and Wizard for ports, snare, and just raw nuke power.

Cleric is not that bad PvP. Stuns do land.

That being said enchanter / anyclass you can come up with a viable leveling tactic.
