How to Edit the Project 1999 Wiki?

I was wondering how to edit the project 1999 wiki... or more specifically add to it.

I have more than a dozen books on the History of Everquest, town specific information.... lore information on certain deities, lore on quests, lore on zones etc etc.

I know some of this information is already there, I just want to add to it.

I love EQ lore and I want to make sure it goes in the Wiki.

I don't know how to play with the wiki.

What I do know is that it takes a lot of experience to be able to determine what is and what is not Classic about the server, how to research things from 14 years ago, and be accurate in your assessments. Even the developers come up empty from time to time, and they have the best resource of Classic EverQuest players in existence.

So in my opinion, relax, enjoy the game for a while, get to learn the zeitgeist here and go with the flow until you learn the rules of our little society.

Well..... right now i have a screaming baby that keeps me up at all god hours of the night =) and as a stay at a home mom, plenty of time during the day.

What I am looking to add is not classic/non classic. Its strictly lore.

my dad worked for Prima from 1991-2005, so I have all sorts of old books and guides and such that I collected from that time period.

I also interned at Sony years ago and I just have a bunch of old documents my husband draged out of storage.... I have no desire to debate about what items are classic and what not, what I would like to do is take this huge book I have from the kunark era and break it down into the wiki over the next few months.

There is a ton of lore it in, History, and questing lore....and lore on some of the NPC's that I would like to see go into the wiki.....

I have NO experiance with wiki's but would be willing to learn. Some people (like myself) love the lore of the game, and like to read about it.

Pretty simple for the most part. Have a wiki login and click edit/add new page.

Make sure to use "show preview" before submitting anything. And save once you're sure everything you're adding is correct. Also, adding a summuary text helps other contributors to know what your update was about.

Would you be interested in helping us start a roleplay guild? I've been building a list of names. Just need to get enough folks on at the same time to get it started.

I also have my own little ones, so I'll never be a raider. I sometimes need to get up from the computer at a moment's notice, even after they're "asleep", and that's not exactly consucive to such things. I've only tinkered with small updates (things like changing the values on necro research trivials and things as I find them), but I'd say the more help on there the better... everyone criticizes the wiki but won't help to change it.

Anyone who wants to help, who can back up that what's said on the wiki is true for P99 is totally welcome in my opinion - but it has to be verified. A Prima Strategy guide for Kunark for example was never fully "true" to Live during Kunark. Some of the quests were off at least.

It's just like Wikipedia, with one exception: a login account is required. Talk to Ravhin for more help.
