I've been doing some research on classic items and have come across a number of documents with interesting information. However, just one or two sources are not enough and information is generally lacking. Here are some things of interest that some people can possibly find some more information on, or perhaps offer their unclouded classic knowledge.

Dark Reaver possibly had its proc changed from Steelskin to Steal Strength at one point. This kind of makes sense considering It's a 32 Necro spell (SKs eventually get it at 56) and kind of fits with the weapon. However, a 230 rune was obviously too powerful and was nerfed. This may have just been an error on a document that was pretty accurate throughout, however. The earliest Allakhazam listing is June 19 2000 and lists Steal Strength.

An item once existed called Green Platemail Gloves. There are numerous classic references to them (including Allakhazam, Monkly Business, etc) all listing the same stats, but never any drop information. Most of these sources also claim that the item no longer drops. Stats were 14 AC 7 STR 5 DEX MNK/ROG. They definitely dropped somewhere prior to Kunark but from what?

Cat Skull Cap is possibly supposed to drop from gelatinous cubes in Qeynos Catacombs according to Allakhazam but I can't find anything supporting it. I haven't done Runnyeye enough to know if it drops there, but it's a classic item.

An item existed called Star of the Eyes. It was removed. It had unlimited right click Identify.

Wand of the Burning Dead. Apparently a Freeport quest, although I can't find any information on how it was completed. I didn't look super super hard, it may even exist on P99. It's possible the quest was removed at some point? Little information.

Bladed Thulian Claws were called Demon Claws until they changed the name due to it being "offensive." This really doesn't need additional research but throwing it on the list.

Erudite Madman which I'm not even sure is spawning on P99 (haven't seen him yet) dropped Earring of Fire Reflection.

Stiletto of the Bloodclaw originally dropped from Drelzna.

Blue Diamond equipment did NOT exist in classic. I've found item lists that have practically all known drops (including stuff above that we don't know much about) that have no Kunark items, that also lack any Blue Diamond gear. Jacinth, Diamond, etc gear did exist.
