Default Remove all raid targets

Rogean mentioned removing raid content from Velious if things don't improve. Why stop there, let's remove raid content from Kunark and original EQ. Maybe only raid targets are spawned by GMs.

Raid scene here isn't classic either. The server I played on back in the day had a raid calendar. We didn't have a bunch of no life assholes cock blocking all the raid content.

The agreements your guilds came up with out of game have nothing to do with the content in game. My server for example it was all out racing for any mobs up once raid time began. Scout prior to raid - find targets, mobilize while assembling groups and engage while being raced or racing someone.

Personally I prefer racing guilds to content as it ads the complexity of logistics to the engagements but whatever. Beating Afterlife to NtoV or rushing to engage Emporer in SSRA with them breathing down our necks and pulling off a win by the skin of our teeth - these are the exhilirating memories that come from competition. Honestly if I wanted to stand in line to be handed something I would go to the deli counter instead of a game.

This is pretty much how it is here, though. Except you have no freedom of guild choice, you have to join TMO and while you're waiting in line for months to receive your 20 HP upgrade pixels you have to click a track button all day.

Well then we simply disagree with what is fun. If I wanted to compete against other players, I would join a PvP server.

Why play an MMO at all if you don't want to compete against others? Every single time you buy anything from a PC you're competing. When you got to a zone to xp you're competing.

Not at all. We have the freedom to contest any spawn we have access to we just have to sit there and wait for it to spawn. If any guild wants to do that they can do that - as evidenced by the guilds that do that.

How is it a competition when all you have to do is: /q , log in using a shared user name / password, perform your class role, Kill target, /q , log main (or alt 1-8) for loot. There is no race. No competition. Only grief for casual/semi-casual guilds.

You don't see that there is competition in getting FTE and having the logistical capability to do that smoothly? Besides thats not how it is on all mobs or even most.
