Default Cure pots, pumice, etc.

I played on pvp servers long ago on live. We always had tons of pumice. Is there pumice on this server, and do melee have cure pots within easy grasp? If so, I imagine shamans or any class that uses a dot probably has trouble killing particularly in a 1 vs. 1? Is this the case? If so, I would probably go with a melee or a pure caster that just nukes? Unless i decide on a support class like cleric. Still bouncing it around in my head.

Basic pumice is here and used often, but not the supercool pumice. Cure potions are here as well. They do different things.

Oh but shaman are awesome in pvp, whether you're facing someone with cure potions or not.

Pumices are on this server yes, they are vendorable for about 15pp and change. Melee/anyone can use crimson pots(reckless health effect) to avoid being mezzed. Other things to cure poison/disease dots require shaman potions that are pretty readily available to be bought just be ready to cough up a few hundred plat at least to get a 10 charger.

Pick whatever class you feel like playing best, Shamans are pretty great for soloing and pvp. Necros are fun as hell to play, but can suck very bad in pvp considering their dots are so easily pumiced off since counters don't work right afaik.

Shamans can be good in group PVP and hard to kill but they have the same issue as you stated with necros...everything can be countered by readily available potions. You'll wreck people at low levels who don't have the cash to invest in cure pots but once you hit the high end and everyone rolls with them it gets harder. At least with dispellable dots if you can bury them they'll have to get rid of a lot of buffs to dispell them...doesn't matter where that poison lands it is getting cured.

Necros should gain a lot of viability with the patch changes to resists.

What are you talking about? I don't play on P1999 red, and asked questions that I thought were relevant. If this is what you consider "trolling", I don't know what to tell you.

Any way, thanks for the replies, those who answered. And no, I wasn't trolling.
