Patch issue

So i extracted the 37folder into the EQ folder , and it said do you want to replace some files and i said replace all... when i log into the game and on the server it shows me a human char with unknown class and on char selection it says outdated spells. do i have to reinstall it all ?

having the same problem , and i've been playing for a few months now , just tried to get on today nad having this problem tried to update spell files like it said but no luck

Are you absolutely sure it overwrote every single file? Including the dsetup.dll file?
Just to be sure go to your EverQuest folder and remove dsetup.dll, move it to your desktop for now. Then go into the 37folder and drag dsetup.dll to where the old one was, in your EverQuest folder. Now launch EverQuest as you normally would.
