Default Texts size, music and resolution

Hello! I'm new and really excited to play again EQ!

I have a problem that may have an easy solution, I don`t know...

All texts etc looks quite small and low res, and I get no music.

Do you know if there is something I may do?

Thank you in advance

EQ uses midi's for it's music. I had to setup a software midi synthesizer in order to get music working.

Change Font Size (there may also be a keybind-check the options, but im not sure if im confusing my memory with a media player)
Chat commands:
/chatfontsize 1
/chatfontsize 2
/chatfontsize 3
/chatfontsize 4
/chatfontsize 5

The fact you get no music is something I probably can't help you with.
But do basic trouble shooting like:
1. Do you hear sound effects in-game?
2. Is the music volume setting turned up in-game?
3. Is your operating system sound turned up and you can hear audio from say youtube?
4. Go to the everquest directory and search for "eqtheme.mp3" Can you find it? Can you play it in a media player and hear it? 2 other files to search for are "combattheme1.mp3" and "combattheme2.mp3".
5. Assuming you can find those files and play them, this is where I'm not sure what the problem is. Must be some kinda soundcard/driver/operating system issue?

You'd need to share more info about your computer. I have seen windows 8 sound problems in the everquest daybreak games forums.
