I remember looking at the inside of the game boxes on the extra stuff they included and from time to time they had planet side 1 ads in there.

I thought it looked so cool. I wish i had a chance to play it in its hay day. it sux it was pay to play. kids now-a-days have no idea what a fucking classic it was. And I never played it!

The launch week of PS 1 was pretty darned insane. Sony had the servers running remarkably stable - I was honestly surprised. I did the right thing with my character testing every vehicle and weapon and piece of equipment in the simulator for the free BR experience 'cause a friend told me, and omg I couldn't get enough of the Rocklet gun. I just kept laughing maniacally at the screen while firing micro rockets in the air careless of who might jump in the way of my LOS to an enemy target.

It wasn't a super great game in that you'd want to stay subbed for months on end. I found myself subbing for a month here and there and taking breaks to play other MMO's. Sort of like how I played City of Heroes. But getting a friend in the same house or on voice chat to team up in a Magrider and mow the lawn with a hovertank was some of the best stupid fun I ever had on Windows XP.

Yea I was on at the same time, we had a couple of our guys freezing his character to the point where he has to log off and make a new account/char.

Sorry that was your first experience back but try again for nostalgia
