Default Book of souls

Is it easy to port in with just a wizard and sneak to get the ground spawn? I've gotten it once but was on a raid and it was a couple years ago.

Yes, I did it on Live back in 2001. It was nerve-wracking, but I avoided the spectre mobs and conned everything.

P99 has some OP rogue Hide, so you should be fine. Talk to an epic rogue though.

The safest route is to go up there when a guild is raiding. It usually gets cleared every 3 or so days.

Unless something changed in a recent patch I think there's definitely a few mobs that'll see through rogue hide

There are a lot more see invis mobs up there now than there use to be a couple of years ago. So be super careful. When you get to the second floor watch out for the floor traps that spawn angry mobs. The trick is to hide/sneak like a pro, then get that book and use your WC insta click hat to get out of dodge if you set of any of those traps.

Be careful if Innoruuk is up, i've seen several rogues get DT'd by him trying to sneak up there. I guess he aggros through the ceiling or something. Inny shouldnt be up too often tho so you should be ok

edit: seems only the old inny DTs so i guess it was when we were up there after a quake/reset

Be invised and sowed to begin with on the port up and sneak/hide immediately on zone in. Bring a charged WC cap or a Lizardblood Potion linked to a hotkey with you for a fast escape. Try an easy server so you can learn the path to take. Watch out for Liches and Banshees, they're most likely to see Hide if I remember right. And of course, don't touch the walls.
