NPC Spawn Issue: Several Neriak Tradeskill Vendors OOE

Several tradeskill vendors in Neriak appear to be spawning out of era.

Andara C`Luzz - Neriak Commons (Fletching vendor)
- Not present in the ficticiousname9 dump[1]
- Not present in Allakhazam EQBestiary[2]
- Not present in neriak.com vendor list[4]
- EQAtlas notes a singular vendor in the building (this would be Dianax C`Luzz):[5]

8 The Bleek Fletcher - Merchant selling Fletching supplies (arrows)

- Not present in EQRangers list of fletching supply vendors
Even well into Luclin we don't see Andara. What's interesting is that this list does include the two Strongbranch vendors added to Freeport in December 2001 and the two Jinklebelly vendors added to Rivervale in April 2002, so this list had been updated post-Velious.

If your a Rogue or ANYONE that loves Archery IN the Neriak area, PLEASE email the EverQuest Team and BEG them to put a WORKING fletcher in Neriak!

Here we see some miscommunication. The OP is distinguishing between archer vendors and fletching vendors. There was a vendor selling bows and arrows in Neriak (Dianax C`Luzz) but not enough supplies to actually level fletching and craft your own (until Sep 1999).

An update to fletching vendor inventories occurred in Sep 1999. Dianax C`Luzz's inventory changed at that time. See this thread for previous research.

Trista N`Ryt - Neriak Commons (Smithing vendor)
- Not present in ficticiousname9 dump[1]
- Not present in Allakhazam EQBestiary[2]
- Not present in neriak.com vendor list[4]
- On P99, her inventory is a combination of small plate molds and adamantite ore. EQTraders shows that small plate molds are sold by Krystiana N`Ryt and Adamantite ore is sold by Draan N`Ryt. There is no mention of Trista.

where do you find the adamantite ore? i found the guy who saies he sells it but he will only talk about how it can be made into chain and how it has to be forged with a special hammer! also where do you find the smithy hammer?

Adamantite Ore Can be found in Neriak: 3 gate. He is in a Building on the lake. You also get the Tier'Dal Smithing Hammer and The Chain Patterns there as well.

Note that the NPC Kaelaelar is referring to is Felok N`Tan who is found in the building next door to the one where Trista spawns now. Had she been present, it seems likely this user would have stumbled across her or that she would have been mentioned in Silvermane's reply given the accessibility of her location.

Zartox Ru`Soe and Nekola N`Ryt - Neriak Commons (Jewelcrafting vendors)
- Not present in ficticiousname9 dump[1]
- Not present in Allakhazam EQBestiary[2]
- Not present in neriak.com vendor list. Forge House, where they are located on P99, is explicitly stated to be empty.[4]
- EQAtlas[5] and another map suggest Forge House is empty as well.
- A jewelcrafting guide on neriak.com mentions the need to buy gems in Third Gate and bars in Foreign Quarter.

It's time to buy your supplies and it can be tough to find them. First you need to buy your kit. You'll need to go into the third gate in Neriak. You'll need to go into a place called The Bauble. This is where you can find most of the gems you will be using and your kit.

Go to the Ogre section of Neriak Foreign Quarter to buy your silver. If you've never heard of this place before, you can ask someone how to get there or just make a right at the green skeleton faces as you first enter Neriak instead of the left to get to the bar to sell. You'll go up an incline and Viola! You'll recognize it by the steel doors and Ogres. You need to go to a place called Shinie Tings to buy all your silver bars.

- Garren offers the full set of tailoring patterns. However, a tailoring guide on neriak.com specifically notes the lack of pattern availability in Neriak:

At this time you cannot buy large sewing kits or all of the sewing patterns in Neriak. The closest place I've found to buy these items is from from Spoolie Gee at the Inn closest to Freeport in Northern Ro.

4 Furrier Royale - Merchant selling Small Leather Armor, Patterns and Kit

- Hutyn sells the expanded patterns introduced in Sept 1999. Had he been present, the full complement of patterns would have been available in Neriak, and players wouldn't have had to seek out Spoolie Gee in North Ro, as the guide above mentions. (The guide is dated to at least Oct 1999, as it references the Shadow Silk combines introduced with the Temple of Solusek Ro quests.)

Update on Andara C`Luzz:

She is seen in a Apr2002 capture involved with the Neriak newbie weapon quest, Ashen Bone Bow. The date of the capture matches the EQTraders window listed above for most of the other NPCs in question (between Feb2002 and June2002). Notably, Neriak and Nektulos were updated in Mar2002 as discussed here.

Hutyn L`Lozz remains the odd man out. I have yet to find mention of him before Oct2002, but he could have been added with the rest. The fact that Garren D`Vek was added to the more accessible Neriak Commons and offered most of the same inventory likely meant there was little reason to visit (and consequently, update) Hutyn in Third Gate. Also, while the ficticiousname9 dump doesn't include Third Gate as mentioned in my initial post, the classic-era dump hosted on eqic.net does include the zone. Hutyn L`Lozz is not present.
